Thieving twins warned not to go “off the rails”

Two brothers, who were banned from a Railway Walk pizzeria after stealing food and a garlic crusher, have been warned by a Magistrate not to go “off the rails” as they wait to be sentenced for theft.

Craig Grant Milon (32) and Grant Craig Milon (32) appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, where they faced multiple charges of theft and illegally entering a property.

Grant Craig, who had also breached a probation order, was represented by Advocate Paul Nicholls. Craig Grant, meanwhile, was represented by Advocate Davida Blackmore.

The Defence Advocates informed the court that the duo were both pleading guilty to the three offences of which they were accused.

Said "low level" crimes took place earlier this month, with both men having first stolen items worth £40.01 in total from a Morrison’s Daily in St. Aubin.

Just one week later, they then stole £50 worth of food and a garlic crusher from the ‘Off The Rails’ café in St. Brelade. 

Grant Craig and Craig Grant were granted conditional bail by the Court, while the Probation Service compiles a Social Enquiry Report.

They will appear back in court on the 28 August for sentencing after the report has been assembled.

In the interim, the two were ordered not to enter the Morrison’s Daily nor ‘Off The Rails’ café, with the presiding Assistant Magistrate, Peter Harris, quick to advise the twins: “We don’t want you to go off the rails.” 

He also told the pair to “obviously not offend whilst on bail”.
