An islander and two "crazy kind friends" are getting ready to brave the shave to raise money for a local breast cancer charity this weekend, four years on from her own diagnosis.
In April, Aimee Sinclair-Horgan, Sarah Burns and Steph Melton will be getting rid of all their hair in aid of After Breast Cancer Jersey (ABC).
ABC have been providing support in Jersey in 1998 to patients, carers and families alike.
The charity offers emotional, practical, and financial assistance to local people that have been affected by breast cancer.
The charity is especially close to Aimee’s heart, as she was diagnosed with cancer four years ago.

“I said last year that I would do this to raise more awareness and money for the charity,” says Aimee, “but what I did not know then is that two of my crazy kind friends would be there to do it with me.”
The three friends see the event as a way to give something back to ABC, who helped Aimee during her own experiences with cancer.
“The journey has had its ups and downs, with setbacks along the way,” says Aimee, “but the charity has always been there to support.”
Sarah Burns describes her friend Aimee as "such a positive person and an inspiration", who "does things for other people who are going through the same thing".

Aimee works at Wilsons Knight Frank, and Sarah runs Prince’s Bar at Havre des Pas. ABC is Prince’s chosen charity for 2022, following fundraising during in 2021.
“We managed to raise a phenomenal amount last year with everyone’s kind support,” says Aimee.
“I’d love it if we could do the same again, with the added bonus of watching the three of us go bald."
The fundraising event will take place in Princes Bar at 18:00 on 2 April.
So far they have raised a £3,630 - already smashing their £3,000 target already.
