If you were snapped as a ‘Material Girl’ or moonwalking your way through the 1980s – the Société Jersiaise want to hear from you and you could end up re-creating your pose.
They are working with Jersey Heritage on a big ‘Bergerac’s Island’ exhibition at Jersey Museum next year and want some of your photos to feature in it.
Photographic Archivist Gareth Syvret said: “We are interested in all aspects of life and every section of the Jersey community in the 1980s, from celebrations and successes through to the challenges and changing fashions, habits and ideas that defined the decade.
“Amateur and professional images are welcome and if members of the public have their own photographic archives or collections of photographs by family members or other people we are keen to hear about them.”
Images that reflect the lifestyles of the 1980s will become part of the permanent digital photographic archive.
If your photo is chosen among the ten best sent in, you’ll get to recreate your 80’s pose in a photo shoot with local photographer Danny Evans.
