There’s a new way to explore St Ouen’s Bay and to earn a free ice cream.
The National Trust for Jersey has published a self-guided tour to the area that you can pick up from any of its properties. You then follow the route described on the pamphlet answering questions as you go along. When you hand it in at the end of the trail at Jersey Pearl you can claim your reward.
The Trust’s guide has been released to coincide with the tenth anniversary of its coastline campaign back in 2006.
There are ten locations to be ‘discovered’ including The Scrape – a special low lying wetland habitat, Le Noir Pre (the orchid field), bird hides and a host of other sites in the middle of the bay.
Chief Officer of the National Trust, Charles Alluto says: “this trail and other themed coastal events that we are delivering this year not only mark the tenth anniversary of this important campaign, but also seek to engage with our supporters in a fun way, providing great activities for families along the coastline.”
