WATCH: Police seek identity of serial indecent assault suspect

Wednesday 01 January 2020

Police have released more images of a cyclist they suspect of committing a spate of indecent assaults on Christmas morning in the hopes that someone will recognise him.

The Force are still hunting for the man they believe is responsible for a series of indecent assaults on women before 08:30 on Christmas Day.

They have released a further still image and some video CCTV footage of the individual as well as appealing for witnesses who may have passed the suspect on his bike that morning.

Described as being 5’11” tall with short dark hair and wearing a dark tracksuit-style top and black tracksuit bottoms with black trainers, the suspect was also riding a dark pedal bike.

Video: Police have released this clip in the hopes that someone will recognise the suspect (States of Jersey Police/CCTV).

It was initially alleged that the individual committed three assaults around Hill Street and it then emerged that Police suspected him of a fourth attack in the Springfield area.

Alongside releasing the new images of the suspect, the Police say: “Over the past week officers have gathered and reviewed CCTV from a number of public and private sources and are able to release a further video and still image.

“Whilst the low light conditions impacts the quality of the images, it is believed that they are sufficient for an associate of the individual to identify him.

“It is clear from viewed CCTV that there were a number of members of the public who were passed by the suspect on his bike that morning and who may be able to provide further information. They are asked to contact Police.

“Whilst these incidents will be of concern to the public, the Police would like to provide reassurance that they are doing all that they can to identify the perpetrator.”

Anyone who can identify this male or who has any information about the incidents are asked to contact Police on 01534 612612 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
