Homemade soup and dahl, podcasts, audiobooks and a side of Succession... a local illustrator has shared what she turns to when she wants to relax.
In addition to her day job in social media and digital content, Jamie O'Neill runs a side business called 'Drawn by Jamie'.
She creates eye-catching artwork from editorial pieces to children's book illustration and bespoke pet portraits.
But, whilst her schedule might be packed, it doesn't mean there isn't time to unwind and she has shared her favourite ways to do that...
I love to cook and have been vegetarian for nearly 10 years now, so it'd have to be a wholesome homemade butternut squash soup with a fresh slice of buttered bread, or my delicious spinach Dahl recipe which I love to make when friends come around for dinner.
Nothing beats a good classic cup of tea first thing in the morning - strong and milky!
Or once in a while, I enjoy a nice cold cider in the garden on a summer's day.
I gravitate towards podcasts over music these days, with some of my recent favourites being the '3 Point Perspective' illustration podcast, 'Diary of a CEO', 'Social Minds', and 'No Such Thing as a Fish'.

Similarly to my preference for podcasts, I tend to spend more time with audiobooks over reading a physical book, so that I can listen while I'm on the go or whilst drawing!
It's been a while but the last audiobook I listened to was 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear.

I always have a series on the go! My current obsession is Succession, and before that I binged both seasons of White Lotus.
There's just too many great TV shows to keep up with!
