After a showstopping performance at Glastonbury, and ahead of Pride tomorrow, a Jersey musician has shared what she gets up to with her wife and kids when she wants to take down the tempo.
Megan Langlois will be on the main stage at the CI Pride events tomorrow (Saturday 16 September) in People's Park.
She is currently in the process of recording and releasing an EP, and is heavily involved in the music scene.
In addition to teaching guitar, gigging and running open mic nights, she plays in two bands – 'Dirty Vegas', a five-person rock band and 'Pretty Vegas', an acoustic duo with her wife, Natalie.
By day, Megan works in the finance sector and takes care of her family, with two daughters Erin and Caoimhe, aged 14 and nine.
Despite admitting she is "literally the busiest person on the planet", she has shared what she likes to do when she has a rare opportunity to put her feet up...

...enjoy a nice meal with my family or try to relax at home and do nothing (something I'm not very good at!). I'm constantly on the go doing something or performing somewhere so when I do get some time, it's very important to make the most of it.
I enjoy being able to tinker about with my guitars and being creative with learning new things. Spending time with my wife and children are very important and they keep me grounded!
...too many crisps! I really don't have a sweet tooth and much prefer savoury. I do love a decent roast and I enjoy cooking them too. Our family are all 'foodies' and enjoy trying new flavours.
In our house, we do our famous 'Langlois themed dinner' nights, whereby I create a menu from another country and I create an immersive evening for myself, Nat and the girls. I dress up in the clothes associated with whatever country the food is from, put their traditional music on and enjoy the food from the region.
I'm a bit of a geek and love bringing my inner child out.
...a lot of coffee – probably too much, if I'm honest!
We enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine or on a hot day, an ice cold beer.
...an enormous range of genres. Being a musician, I have an extremely eclectic taste.
I'm a massive Fleetwood Mac fan but also a massive fan of rock, folk, country and some of the more modern stuff. My happy place is at a festival exploring new music. We do enjoy a true crime podcast to fall asleep to though. Not always relaxing!

I love reading, when I actually get the time.
Being a bit nerdy, you'll usually find me reading non-fiction books such as history books, biographies, music and guitar books. I think my favourite book I've read would be Shantaram.
I also enjoy reading Martina Cole novels although I think I've read them all now. Currently reading and enjoying 'Daisy Jones and the Six' after being lent it by a friend.
When I'm not doing my day job within the finance industry, you will most likely find me singing and playing guitar with my wife in our duo 'Pretty Vegas' in various establishments and events around the island or our five-piece 'Dirty Vegas'.
I also enjoy teaching guitar and running open mic nights. I'm a busy girl! I find it very hard to sit still so I'm constantly busy either with my family or performing and teaching guitar.
