The famous Great British Barber Bash team have been visiting Highlands College this week for a top educational event for members of the hairdressing industry.

The Great British Barber Bash team are a group of industry-renowned celebrity barbers from the north of England, who have been travelling all over Europe with their high-energy and interactive barbering show.

After showcasing their work in Amsterdam just last week, the Great British Barber Bash team arrived in Jersey on Tuesday 26th April and spent the day with the Hair and Beauty students at Highlands College. The training hairdressers and college staff were treated to a private demonstration on three different models throughout the day and were later joined by salon owners and leading stylists in the industry for a spectacular evening show from the team.

The 60+ attendees were treated to a high octane, innovative and educational evening, demonstrating cutting edge trends with a diverse range of styles. The three main barbers from the Great British Barber Bash team demonstrated the latest barbering techniques on six different models, giving tips and advice with a ton of energy and inspiration. The audience were encouraged to interact and ask questions, and the barbers thoroughly explain the procedure and their methods whilst working on their models with modern techniques and brand-new equipment.  Guests were also treated to refreshments and mocktails made by the culinary arts students from the Highlands Academy Restaurant.

Pawel Kulon, head of Hair and Beauty at Highlands College, said: “I’m thrilled to know that the Hair and Beauty department at Highlands College are leading the way in bringing modern trends and techniques to the hairdressing industry in Jersey.”
